Technical notes

This page is produced in Textpattern, an expandable, text-based content management system. We have designed it with accessibility in mind — the site’s layout is completely fluid, meaning that it can be scaled to very high magnifications and/or displayed on very small screens such as mobile phones. There are a bare minimum of menu options, but it is a simple matter to find individual articles and/or find related articles from the same volume or category.

Many of the articles on this site were converted from Word for DOS files (taken off floppy disks) or scanned from clean typescript, and as such there may be some errors or stray punctuation (hyphens in particular).
